BBN have three copies of the Pocket Rocket Wayne McCullough's new autobiography to give away as prizes in our latest competition.
"Pocket Rocket" is a story of heroism, of a boy born and raised on Belfast's Shankill Road, the stronghold of Ulster loyalism, who might have become a different kind of fighter, had his fists not been so handy when he put on the gloves, insulating him from the darkest elements of Northern Ireland's troubles.
In this revealing autobiography, McCullough describes the extent of his despair when he was told that one more punch could kill him and recalls how his fight against Harrison nearly did. He tells of the breakdown in his relationship with his family and his manager, American media mogul Mat Tinley, who set him on the path to professional boxing stardom in America.
In "Pocket Rocket", McCullough contrasts his life in Las Vegas with that in Ireland, and recounts his fights against Hamed, Morales, Yakushiji, Rabanales and Zaragoza: matches that have yielded recognition for the "Pocket Rocket" as one of the bravest of his breed.
