A “Grand” debut for Craig by Tom Walker Sep 19th 2006

Does it get any better than on your professional debut, and having Freddie Roach as your cornerman? Well I guess it does, if you make that same debut on the under card of what was probably the most exciting triple bill of world title fights in a very long time, sharing the card with Barrera, Guzman, Vasquez etc; and with a host of superstars to watch your entrance to the professionals. Craig McEwan, former stalwart of the Scottish amateur team, made his entrance to the paid ranks in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning UK time. Having signed on with Golden Boy Promotions, this was the stuff of dreams.
