Leeds based Bauer events have confirmed that Leeds' British super-featherweight champion Carl Johanneson and Bradford challenger Femi Fehintola have both signed for the much-discussed all West Yorkshire showdown.
Johanneson and Fehintola put the finishing touches to the contract live on SKY Sports while ringside for Jamie Moore vs. Matthew Macklin British title bout.
The bout appears to be developing into something of a grudge match, with managers Rick Manners and Richard Poxon taking turns in trading verbal barbs, before an intense stare-down between the fighters themselves moments later.
Johanneson's manager Manners is excited about the relevance of the bout for the sport in Yorkshire, “It's going to be a great fight, I can't remember when last there was a major British boxing title between Leeds and Bradford. Both these boxers are true Yorkshiremen and are up there and it does not get any better than that.”
The two boxers will fight for Johanneson's British title onNovember 3rd at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Sheffield.
