According to the BBBoC website Carl Froch has decided to vacate the Commonwealth Super Middleweight Championship as a result of an injury for which he has received treatment, which will prevent him from boxing again until the 1st November of this year.
With Froch looking for title shots at the European and WBC titles he has decided not to ask for an extension.
Subsequently, Charles Adamu will remain the mandatory challenger and may box any other of the listed challengers named by the Commonwealth Boxing Council following its meeting held in March 2007, which, if it is takes place under Commonwealth Boxing Council Championship conditions, can be sanctioned for the vacant title.
Also purse bids for the Carl Froch vs. Robin Reid for the British title have been postponed, a new date will be announced shortly.
