Jonjo Finnegan has been forced to pull out of his British Masters title fight later this month after being involved in a car crash.
The light-heavyweight was due to face Jamie Ambler in his hometown of Burton-on-Trent on November 29th.
However, he now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being involved in a head on smash whilst returning from a gym session at 1st Team Promotions' gym in Wednesbury.
The 27 year-old suffered a broken wrist and has undergone surgery to insert pins in it. The injuries should keep him out of action for three months.
Finnegan's car was written off and Police have stated that his seat belt saved his life.
"All Jonjo's many friends in boxing wish him a speedy recovery," stated 1st Team spokesman, PJ Rowson. "We look forward to seeing him back in the gym soon."
