Unbeaten Stafford light-welterweight Rob Hunt has been forced to pull out of First Team's six-fight card at the Banks' Stadium in two weeks time (November 28).
Hunt gained a career-best victory over Leonard Lothian on First Team's show in Wolverhampton last month, but has withdrawn on the advice of trainer/manager Paul Dykes – who feels the cut his charge sustained during the four-rounder needs more time to heal.
The 22-year-old former kickboxer, 7-0 (1), was set to participate in his third successive four-threes but will have to put the brakes on his career until the early stages of 2008, when the competition is gradually expected to be stepped up.
Former British welterweight champ Young Mutley, 22-3 (12), tops the bill in a six-threes against iron-chinned Ukrainian Vladimir Borovski. Coventry portsider Steve Bendall, 27-3 (14), also sees action against a Ukrainian opponent, Dniepropetrovsk southpaw Alexander Matviechuk.
West Brom southpaw Wayne Downing, 3-5 (0), also takes on Brierley Hill's Martin Gordon, 0-3-1, in a highly-charged six-round rematch. The pair have continually swapped barbs since their first fight in December, won by Downing on points.
Walsall super-middleweight Matty Hough, 7-2 (1), Stourbridge's Sam Horton, 6-0 (1), and Halesowen lightweight Scott Evans, 1-0 (0), complete the bill.
