While Amir Khan tops the bill at Bolton on the 8th December, fellow top lightweight prospect, 22-year-old John Murray will share top billing at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas with Bronco McKart, the night before Ricky Hatton takes on Floyd Mayweather.
Murray appears in the show billed as "UK vs. The World" alongside fellow Brits Lee Meager, Dean Harrison, Martin Gethin and US based Brits Craig McEwan and Jimmy Campbell.
"It's a great achievement for John to be co-top of the bill in Vegas," said Joe Gallagher, John's trainer this afternoon.
There will be loads of Hatton fans in Vegas so Golden Boy promotions have pulled off a good marketing ploy by putting on this show the night before, especially with two other Manchester boys on the card.
The fight will be the culmination of a great year for John and his brother Joe. Joe won a bronze medal in the recent World amateur championships and also booked his place at the Beijing Olympics, while unbeaten John picked up the English title in his last outing by stopping hard-punching Dean Hickman in four rounds.
