Newspaper launches 'Boxing against Bullying' campaign

All of us who know boxing are already well aware of this - the sport has a huge amount of potential to be a force for social good.

The latest indicator that the general public are beginning to see the light is the launch of a campaign today by the Sheffield Star newspaper called 'Boxing against Bullying'.

The initiative - which will see boxers and trainers not just offering to teach troubled youngsters the sport but also acting as 'mentors' - is backed by the NSPCC, former Sports Minister and president of the ABA Richard Caborn and popular Sheffield trainer Glyn Rhodes.  It goes without saying that Britishboxing.net lends our full support.
