Hennessy Sports has won the purse bids for the mandated vacant English welterweight match between their man Adnan Amar and Manchester's Matthew Hatton.
The fight will be added to the undercard of the Carl Froch vs Denis Inkin show to be held at the Nottingham Arena on Saturday 29th March.
Nottingham man Amar said: “We will find out if he can fight on the 29th March. I feel he has been over protected and over hyped, he keeps talking about a shot at the British title, now he has the chance to earn one.
“I'm really excited, I have over six weeks to prepare for this fight, more time than I have ever had before.
“I believe I have the skills and the punch power to knock out Matthew Hatton."
Employing a wry pun on Hatton's 'Magic' nickname, Amar taunted: "In my opinion Hatton's whole career has been an illusion, just a smoke and mirrors act.
“I think the Magic Circle will cancel his membership after this fight”.
Promoter Mick Hennessy said: “I'm pleased we have managed to secure this fight and add a top prospect to the already exciting Nottingham Arena bill. Adnan has proved himself in his last two fights and he is really beginning to look the part.
"As this is such a good fight the winner should be in line for a British title shot, we are certainly going to apply for eliminator status."
