Dean Harrison is relishing the prospect of topping his first bill next month.
The 24 year-old, who has an unblemished 11-fight record since turning professional in 2006, will be the main attraction on 1st Team Promotions' 'Young Guns' show at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Wednesday, 30th April.
The Wolverhampton-born welterweight was pencilled in to appear on the undercard of the Carl Froch vs. Denis Inkin world title eliminator bill later this month but, with Inkin pulling out due to an 'acute infection', this may not be the case.
Regardless of whether Harrison sees action beforehand, he is relishing the prospect of making a fifth appearance in front of his home crowd.
"I want to thank 1st Team for their backing," he said. "They've been fully behind me from the start and given me the chance to box at home.
"I want to repay the team and, of course, all my fans who have been very loyal to me, by going all the way to the top."
PJ Rowson of the promotional outfit is backing Harrison to shine as he steps up to top-of-the-bill status and is predicting a bright future for his young boxer.
"We know how good Dean is and what he can achieve. But we haven't been shouting about it - until now.
"The secret's out. Dean's one of the most exciting prospects in Britain and now he's topping the bill for the first time and it won't be the last time.
"He's been building his reputation on under-cards and word has got round that he's a man to avoid. We've had to bring in opponents from overseas because nobody in Britain wants to fight him.
"He will have to fight the champions sooner or later and then we will find out how far Dean can go."
Tickets for the show are available from the Wolverhampton Civic Hall Box Office on 0870 320 7000 or from PJ Rowson on 07976 283 157.
