BBN goes Amateur - Pair of tickets up for Grabs by Kevin Taylor May 12th 2008

After many month of deliberations BritishBoxing.net has decided to open an amateur site at http://www.britishamateurboxing.net/ Although still very much in it's infancy at the moment we hope to build the records database on the site as well as cover the main fights in Britain, of course we will not be able to cover every show and enter every record so at the start we will be concentrating on regionals, national and international fights. To coincide with the launch we are giving away a pair of tickets to this Friday's Senior ABA finals at the York Hall in Bethnal Green courtesy of the Amateur Boxing Association of England. All you have to do to win the tickets is answer the following question and e-mail it to us at webmaster@britishboxing.net include your contact details so we can let you know if you are the lucky winner. 1) Who was the first British amateur to win a gold medal at the World Amateur Championships? Closing date is Wednesday 14th May at 5pm, winner will be drawn on Wednesday evening. Prize is just two tickets and doesn't include travel or accomodation.
