John Mugabi confirmed his desire to once again step into the squared circle. In his forties, Mugabi wants to get into the ring again in his home country of Uganda.
"Even at 43, I am good enough to knock out anyone in Uganda. I am back in training, but taking it slowly. I'll train in England, America or Australia, but will definitely be back. I have never fought in Uganda since I won the silver medal and I want to have a professional contest there."
Mugabi hasn't fought in over five years since he lost to Glen Kelly in five, but still carries an air of menace, and seemed pretty confident in his own ability.
There will be no comeback for Alan Minter! But he said son Ross will be back in November at Bethnal Green. Ross has been out because a cut on his forehead wasn't cleaned out properly and when the stitches were taken out the cut was full of vaseline, so it had to be cleaned out and re-stitched. Alan said it will be like starting again for Ross who by then will have been out of the ring for fourteen months.
Also back in action soon will be Steve Spartacus who expects to be on the next Hennessy show on November 12th, likely venue the Excel Arena in London. Junior Witter is also rumoured to be on the card.
