Unbeaten featherweight prospect Akaash Bhatia has been appointed as an ambassador for the Prince's Youth Trust.
The 25-year-old, who is trained by Babatunde Ajayi, is the first boxer since Frank Bruno to be given such a role.
Bhatia, who is the only professional Sikh boxer in the country, is next expected in the ring in October, a mooted oppoenent is former British champion Jamie McKeever.
Bhatia holds wins over current Commonwealth champion Paul Truscott and Vinny Mitchell in the amateur ranks and has gained plenty of admirers since turning professional in May 2006.
