Wednesbury youngster, Dean Arnold, will enjoy a baptism of fire later this month when makes his professional debut on the undercard of Wayne Elcock's British title fight against Darren McDermott.
The 18-year-old featherweight has recently joined 1st Team Promotions' stable and spokesman PJ Rowson is delighted to give the teenager the opportunity to make his bow at the Aston Villa Leisure on Friday, 25th April.
“It's a fantastic card to be making your debut on,” said Rowson. “There will be a big crowd there for the main event but there is also a very strong undercard.
“I understand Marcus Portman will be fighting and we've also got Martin Gethin defending his Midland Area Title, so it will be a great occasion.
“Dean is looking forward to his professional debut and, like I said, what better night to kick-off your boxing career?
”It will be a daunting prospect but its one I'm sure Dean will take in his stride.”
