Jane Couch couldn't add to her tally of World titles last night in Mashantucket, Connecticut when she lost a unanimous decision to Jaime Clampitt in a battle for the IWBF light-welterweight title.
Couch, who was awarded an MBE for her services in the Queen's 2007 birthday honours list, had beaten Clampitt at the same venue, Foxwoods, for the same belt in June 2004, but this time a near capacity crowd saw Clampitt gain revenge in ten action packed rounds of boxing.
Clampitt winning with scores of 100-90, and 98-92 (twice) on the judges scorecards.
