Peter Harrison's face was a joy to behold. His son, Scott, seems to have seen the error of his ways and returned to the gymnasium, in a public demonstration to show that he's not, as some would have it, two years from death's door. The press and television were at the Phoenix gymnasium today to witness a work out by the former world champion.
Notwithstanding the other trials that he has to face, this first trial in the glare of publicity was a breeze for the Cambuslang boxer and he looked fit and bright as he put himself through his paces, showing that he's still fighting fit if somewhat short of where he was.
I for one will be glad to see him doing what he does best – boxing.
Scotland needs Scott Harrison at the top of his sport and though there will be churlish comments from many in this country, I hope sincerely that he's on the mend from his dark days and that he can get his life together again. The road to recovery has begun, and it will be a long road with some pitfalls but as Mao Tse Tung once said “The long march began with the first step," and we know what he achieved! (We'd best not push that particular comparison, Tom! - Ed.)
just made my week to hear scott is back on the right track i will def be at his next fight to cheer him on to victory and the ones after that as well
good luck wee man now go get your title back
