As BBN reported a few hours ago, there is indeed a new opponent for Kevin Mitchell and his Commonwealth title will no longer be on the line in Saturday's action at the York Hall, Bethnal Green.
In the opposite corner will be the experienced Venezuelan Edison Torres, who faced unbeaten Martin Lindsay in Belfast last month, losing on points over eight rounds.
Torres, 39 years old, is now based in Spain and had nine fights in 2007, winning two of them by stoppage, but comes to the ring with seven defeats on the bounce, although he hasn't been stopped in any of the contests.
In March Torres, who is nicknamed 'El Guapito' stopped former European bantamweight champion David Guerault in the last of an eight rounder after putting the Frenchman down in the sixth round, British fans will remember Guerault as the man who took the European title from Castleford's Noel Wilders, knocking him out in seven rounds in Sheffield in June of 2003.
For Kevin Mitchell it's another blow after first opponent Carl Johannesson pulled out of the contest for the British title due to a back injury, no reason has been given for Aryeetey pulling out at the moment but it is throught to be something to do with his blood test results during his routine medical.
