At yesterday's press conference in London to officially announce Ricky Hatton's defence of his IBO light-welterweight title against Juan Lazcano at the City of Manchester Stadium on May 24th, Hatton's future in the ring was mapped out.
After the Lazcano fight they'll be a clash with Paul Malignaggi, if Malignaggi comes through a defence of his IBF title against Lovemore N'Dou on the undercard in Manchester, and then a spring rematch with Floyd Mayweather at Wembley.
Maloney also unveiled a Commonwealth welterweight title clash between reigning champion Craig Watson and challenger Matthew Hatton, younger brother of "The Hitman".
Hatton announced that the show would be a family occassion as a thank you to the many thousands of fans that have supported him throughout his career, and already there are only 4,000 seats left for the event.
