Portsmouth based ‘Mighty' Mickey O'Sullivan has put pen to paper and signed a new three year management deal with manager and promoter Mickey Helliet and is now looking to rock the light middleweight division.
Helliet who currently manages more boxers in the UK than anyone else is delighted that O'Sullivan has joined his camp.
“Mickey is a great guy and a great boxer. Im sure he will go far with the right fights and I assure you we will be seeing plenty of him in the future.”
Boxing runs in O'Sullivan's blood as his family, who are originally from Ireland, have all been boxing fanatics and after fighting quality opposition in the amateurs in countries such as Norway and Denmark it was no surprise that O'Sullivan would go pro.
But now that he has a son there is added importance as O'Sullivan feels boxing will be a way provide for the young lad and give him the best possible start in life.
A bricklayer by trade O'Sullivan started boxing in a local gym in Camberley at the age of 17, and after finding a passion for the sport he has been in regular training ever since.
Now training with Michael Ballingall in Portsmouth he is ready to take on the professionals and is looking to go and win titles in the future.
